Background

Norovirus (NoV) is the leading cause of acute gastroenteritis and widely spread throughout the world. There are various genotypes of norovirus in which G1, GII and GIV could infect human. GII.4 has become the most common genotype detected for norovirus outbreaks since 2012 making it become a important target for norovirus studies. Even the capsid protein VP1 could self-assembly to virus-like particles (VLPs), the capsid protein VP2 was found to stabilize the entire VLP structure there is also important for vaccine and drug developments.
